Product Description

We have put this jacket to the test and discovered it is a durable, good all around parka and can  be used confidently in outdoor heavy work conditions. If you need a tough backcountry or work jacket that can take abuse, it is really the best jacket you can buy for the money. Tru-Spec also recently redesigned them with an improved 3-layer windproof, waterproof, breathable material. We found that the material is heavy enough for a mid level or light weight jacket by itself depending on where you live. The multiple pockets and hood give great coverage!

Tru-spec Gen-2 ECWCS Parka

When the job still has to be done, protect yourself from the harsh elements with this multi-featured, tough jacket. The ECWCS (extended cold weather clothing system) Parka is a generation 2 that is both a rain jacket and cold weather jacket. The material is tough nylon and is the standard issue for the U.S. military in all branches. Designed to be compatible with the Polar Fleece Jacket (not included). The Jacket has a cobra hood (made to fit over a combat helmet) and gives you plenty of room. Based on the weather conditions, you can adjust the pull tab on the top of the hood to control how far it hangs down as well as a high collar to enclose your neck.

This parka has a non-freezing, double-pull zipper with storm flap and seven snap closure, a flap-covered pocket on the left sleeve with hook and loop (Velcro) closure, adjustable hook and loop wrist cuffs, armpit ventilation zippers and double reinforced elbows. A badge/insignia tab with snap is located on the storm flap. There is an interior back ventilation opening, two slash (hand warmer) cargo pockets on the lower front and an inside draft skirt (wind skirt) with elastic draw cords and barrel-locks at the waist (without pulls). There are also two concealed map pockets at the front zipper with hook and loop closures that can be opened without unzipping the parka.

Tru-Spec went used BEMIS a high quality, environmentally safe seam tapes. Seam tape is the critical link in the chain of waterproof protection and Bemis is the recognized worldwide technology leader in providing thermoplastic films for a myriad of industrial applications.
